Category Description for Zorb 35X Digital Microscope

Officially one of our absolute favorite products we reviewed this year, the Zorb made a huge splash in our office when it arrived! Basically, it½s an extremely easy-to-use microscope viewer that plugs into your computer with a USB port and is Windows/Mac compatible. It½s shaped like a rubberized egg with a large base, so it½s easy to grip and the zoom is built in just twist it! The Zorb comes with software to set up the viewer, just install, restart, plug in and go. Place the Zorb over a small object and the image will appear in the program window on your computer in all its magnified glory (or horror, depending on what you look at in our case, an Asian beetle). We moved on to viewing rocks, dollar bills, dead flies, our pant legs, leaves, coins and more, each time discovering something "really cool." The fun doesn½t end with the viewing either. You can use the Zorb to capture video of what you are looking at or take pictures using the photo button on top of the viewer. Perfect for students of all ages, this little gadget makes it easy to explore things at low magnification and easily share the image with a group. Plus, the images are sharp and clear, displaying at a 640x480 resolution. Plug it in and I guarantee there½s not much in your house you won½t want to look at with the Zorb, including common household pests! The magnification increases based on the size of the monitor: 35x on a 14" monitor, 53x on a 21" monitor, 58x on a 23" monitor and 68x on a 27" monitor. System requirements: Windows 2000/ME/XP/Vista and Mac OSX 10.4 or later, USB 2.0. ~ Jess

BEST ANSWER: The Zorb requires a USB port so I assume not (unless you know a way around this).
