Description

Running a train station is not an easy task. Matching the capabilities and types of locomotives with the railcars they pull, as well as the optimum number of passenger ticket sales for profitability, is an exercise in efficiency. Station Master is a competitive card game that challenges players to influence, build and predict each train’s final value while boarding their passengers with the optimum ticket costs so that when the train leaves the station; they earn more efficiency points than other players do. Each time a train is completed; there can be wild fluctuations in a player’s score. This is because players can use action cards that quickly change the makeup of trains, such as removing railcars or adding a caboose that immediately completes the train. These changes can quickly add or subtract to the value of each train.

Once all thirteen trains are built, boarded and leave the station, the game ends and the person with the highest total score wins!  This game moves quickly and builds lively competition as players try to predict a train’s final value, while trying to guess other players’ bets and attempting to subvert them by adding railcars that subtract from their scores. For 2-6 players, with a 30–50-minute game time.
Publisher's Description of Station Master Game

Station Master™ is highly interactive card game played over a series of turns until all locomotives have left the station. Each turn, players choose either attach a railcar to a train or assign one of their Passenger pawns to a railcar. The railcars determine the value of the train – positive or negative! Each Passenger pawn is played face down, so only its owner knows its value. Additionally, Action cards can be played that cause a variety of effects, from removing Passenger pawns or railcars to changing the values of trains! When a Locomotive’s railcar limit is reached, the train pulls away from the station, and players reveal the values of the Passenger pawns. Players determine their score for the train by multiplying the value of the train by the value of their Passenger pawns.
