This chess set is perfect for beginner players as it features a sturdy fold-out board and a full set of tournament approved pieces. The chess board is unique in that it includes guidelines for where to put pieces on the board as well as how the pieces can be moved. This makes for a quick setup and smooth gameplay even if players do not have much experience. There are also equalizer dice that can be used if there is a wide difference of skill between the two players playing. The more experienced player will have to roll the dice to determine which piece they are allowed to move which makes for a more competitive and enjoyable game. The instruction booklet in this set gives an in-depth tutorial on how to play chess, and also includes special moves and tips that come directly from a chess master! Chess board measures 16" x 20".
