Previewed this text through a friend. It's simple and teaches very useful phrases and vocabulary. The CD speaks rapidly, but I speak french fairly well so I just read the text for her to repeat. Perfect for my first grader. We wont bother with buying the workbooks until her writing skills become better.

Is it appealing for a High School Freshman? My daughter wants to learn French, she already knows Spanish and English. Thank you! :)

BEST ANSWER: It depends on the student. Because of the illustrations, some might think it is a bit young, but my 16 year old thinks it is fine for teens. It can feel repetitive, and boring at times, because you are suppose to repeat the same lesson for several days before moving on, but it is effective. We combined it with Memoria Press' First Start French and are happy with both products.
