Description
This learning mat is perfect for young solar system lovers to use at either their school desk, kitchen table, workspace, or on any flat surface. The mat includes a picture of each planet in their distance order from the sun, as well as some informational facts about each planet. The facts include the following: Diameter (in miles and kilometers), Average Distance from the sun (in miles and kilometers), Rotation Period (in hours), orbital period (in years), and the number of moons. The front side is in full color, while the backside has blank outlines of the planets with a space to write the planet's name or differentiating fact. Melissa & Doug's learning mat crayons are the recommended writing utensil, and a #2 pencil may also be used. Not for use with regular crayons, markers, pens, etc. To clean, use a pencil eraser on pencil marks and a wet paper towel on crayon marks. To fully clean, use warm water, soap, and soft rags or sponges. ~ Brianna
