Description

This fun puzzle will keep any player busy for hours. The puzzle consists of ten sturdy, six-sided tiles in a black mesh bag. The tiles are numbered from one to ten and display red, blue, and yellow lines. The purpose of the puzzle is to create complete circles or loops by connecting the lines on the tiles. You begin with three tiles, make a circle connecting lines of the same color on the tiles, then try to do it with one more, and so on. Puzzlers add one tile at a time until finally creating a loop using all ten tiles. With less than ten tiles, only one color of loop is possible to create, but with all ten tiles, each color has its own solution. If you're looking for more of a challenge, (and believe me, it's harder than it sounds!) you can play with two sets of tiles for more complex loops.

Publisher's Description of Tantrix Discovery
Tantrix strategy games add a whole different level of challenge as players try to make the longest line or loop of their chosen color. As the paths grow wild and serpentine with each tile addition, clever moves are made to block or detour an opponent's path.
  • QUICK PLAY
  • After deciding what color to play, players select 6 tiles from the bag without looking, lining them face up in front of them. The first player lays down a tile in the middle of the playing area, then draws another tile from the bag, always keeping 6.
The next player adds a tile to the game, then draws another tile from the bag, always keeping 6.
As each player adds a tile, trying to make their own color line the longest, 'Forced Spaces', or 3-sided spaces are created. When this happens, the player must try to fill this space before adding a tile to their color line.
When all tiles are used up, the player with the longest continuous line of their color wins.
