Easy and useful
This series breaks up learning to write into easy, manageable steps and immediately applies it to writing out Scripture...what a great idea!

Excellent resource for handwriting. Cursive is something lacking in education these days, and this is perfect seeing it also includes scripture.

LOVE this! Pros: It lives up to its name and gives your student a reason for handwriting Forget dull workbooks where you just copy random stuff For 3 lessons students practice words and letters from the Scripture paraphrase of the week On lesson 4 the student traces the whole verse On day 5 the student chooses a bordered paper writes the verse in his/her best handwriting and colors the border AND students are encouraged to GIVE the page to someone else as a type of service outreach We have been laminating them & giving them to shut-ins we visit I feel that the amount of copy work is reasonable for each day about 1/2 workbook page Cons: I chose to start my son in Level C because he already had been writing cursive since preschool (3 yrs) and this is the first all cursive book However the cursive size was a lot smaller so that was a bit of a challenge at first I do not feel that the teacher NEEDS the guidebook at this level although since it is a one-time purchase it would be worth it with younger/multiple students I definitely recommend the Desk card; it has cursive on one side & manuscript on the back

Looks like a nice amount of work for each lesson. Our current handwriting curriculum is too intense and requires too much time each day.

We really like the structure of Reason for Handwriting and have used it from the start for all 5 children. They have used their colored verse sheets as gifts for loved ones and for decoration. I highly recommend this product.

We already completed T.

A great Christian curriculum that gives your scholar lessons and practice on their penmanship. My kids enjoy it and enjoy the coloring pages with the scripture. They enjoy sending them to their grandparents.
Sharon on Jan 21, 2019
This curriculum is tried and true in our large family. It has just the right amount of practice with a great goal of creating something special to bless someone else while displaying their hard work. My older students have enjoyed looking back over their handwriting books from years past.

Have used this curriculum for several years and have liked the approach. It is the pretty pages that provided my child the artistic outlet they were craving as a reward for sitting still long enough to learn the skill of handwriting. My child was motivated to create a collection of her best efforts to give as a gift to her Grandparents.

It came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. The lessons are short, to the point, focused on God's Word, and foundational to good writing.

We loved a reason B, and are looking forward to learning how to write in cursive!!
This book goes well with my homeschool. My second grader will have the ability to 'get started' with school independently so I can have time to provide one on one instruction with her younger brother.

My daughter has longed to learn cursive and has started it on her own. I wanted a fun curriuculum that will teach the correct way to do cursive and this looks fun. She's excited about beginning this in 2nd grade.

I purchase a slightly used copy of A Reason For Handwriting K Student Workbook at a used curriculum sale and my son and I both loved it. I decided to stick with it.

Heather L on Aug 24, 2016
My oldest son used the Reason for Handwriting series and I'm pleased with the results. I like the lesson structure-it's thorough without being tedious and gives small lessons that don't strain little hands as they are learning to form letters properly. I tried a different handwriting book last year and wasn't as happy with it, so we're going back to the tried and true.
Kyle K on Aug 22, 2016
It's a very good curriculum!

how do I know what level my child needs?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: K is for a Kindergarten child. A is for a first grader learning to print words. B is for more printing practice, but more advanced, with longer phrases and sentences. Then T starts with printing and transitions to cursive. Next is C, then D, which are both all cursive writing. Hope that helps!
I don't see teacher guide for just level C as noted in description. Also, where are student cards?
A shopper on Aug 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I think there is only one teacher guide for the whole series. However, we never used them or the cards. This series is VERY easy to use. My 5 children have been enjoying it for many years. We've tried others, but we like this one the best. :)
