Description

Learn more about the countries of the world with this trivia and map identification game! The game board has a map of the countries of the world. An additional smaller game board shows a close-up view of Europe, since most of its countries are small on the map. Each country on the map is labeled with its name and is filled with a certain color. The color depicts what population range each country has. Some countries have less than 5 million occupants, while others have more than 1 billion! There is a game card for each of the 74 countries highlighted in the game. Each card has 6 facts about that country, as well as bonus clues like which continent it’s on and a well-known landmark of that country. Some example facts about Australia are as follows: “My population is 25-50 million.” “I am an island nation.” “I am the 6th largest country in the world by area.” and “My national animal is the kangaroo.” Bonus tokens must be used before a players’ turn and can reveal information like the countries’ flag, the bonus hints, or an additional roll for an extra clue. When a player correctly identifies a country, they get to keep the card and they get a bonus token. The first player to collect 5 cards wins the game! Includes 2 game board maps, 74 country cards, 35 bonus tokens, 1 wooden die, 1 cloth bag, and 1 instruction manual. This game would be a great supplemental game for a world geography course. ~ Brianna
