Description
This manual strives to help kids understand the wonder and power given to us through prayer. It is written with an army (God's army, that is) theme, and throughout the book (or shall I say, training manual) kids complete their "mission" by studying the Bible to learn about prayer. Like the other inductive Bible study books, Lord, Teach Me to Pray requires children to go to their Bibles in order to learn how to pray. Chapter titles include Special Mission - Operation Prayer, Worship, Allegiance, and Submission to the Commander in Chief, Seeking the Commander's Will, and Operation Requisition - Asking and Receiving from the Commander. Each of these chapters contains a week worth of lessons, for a total of 28 days of study. Throughout the book, verses and passages are referenced for kids to analyze and find truths in. A handful of puzzles appear throughout the pages. Eight heavily studied chapters of the Bible are included right in the back of the book for convenience. To help your children become prayer warriors, arm them with this. - Melissa
Publisher's Description of Lord, Teach Me to Pray for Kids (Discover4Yrs

Kay Arthur’s popular Discover 4 Yourself® Inductive Bible Studies for Kids continues in this exciting exploration of the power of prayer.

As members in God’s Special Forces, kids train to be communication experts. Using the illustration of “chain of command,” Kay Arthur and Janna Arndt explain the concept of prayer. Fun puzzles, mazes, and codes help kids make contact with “home base,” develop clear reception, and stay continually in touch with their Commander in Chief, their Father in heaven.

The Lord’s Prayer is the foundation of this special basic training, and it’s not long before the trainees discover the awesome truth that God wants to talk to them as much as they want to talk to Him!

From the same author as the adult version with similar titles. Students begin by joining Molly and Max, partner detectives who help to solve the mysteries. First kids learn the skills needed for studying God's Word - observation, interpretation, and application. Activities in the first week help the child to learn what kind of questions to ask. Each subsequent chapter tackles various week-long adventures, each highlighting a different passage, message, meaning or truth. After finishing the first guide (How to Study Your Bible for Kids) other study guides are available to focus on various topics or themes. Every adventure is packed with lots of questions, puzzles, & activities.
