Math Word Problems (Interactive Learning)

We get requests for computer products often, and this product is both - workbook pages and software. Each book in the series offers 110 problems appropriate for the specific grade. Reproducible, black & white pages each contain 2 word problems or you can let students work the same problems at a whiteboard or on your computer. The graphics are colorful and engaging and students can manipulate the pictures on the screen to do the word problems. A menu allows you to choose the skill you would like to practice. Students can click to magnify the problem, hover over the problem for hints when available, drag the pictures (stamps) to the large blank work space, click to answer as a multiple-choice question, or use the pencil to write out the problem and answer in the work space. You can even change the writing color. A guide in the front of the book will let you know how to use the different buttons on the screen. Problems can be done over and over and include counting, patterns, telling time, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, probability, and logic in grade 1 up to data analysis, ratios, algebraic functions, and review of the earlier concepts at the 6th grade level. These books can be used with groups or individuals and permission is given to reproduce for family or classroom use. Directions are easy to follow for computer set-up and are found in the front of the book. System Requirements are Windows 2000, XP, Vista and MAC OSX (10.2+); 256 MB of RAM; 50 MB hard drive space available; 16x CD-Rom drive; Flash Player 9; Java 1.4. These would be a good, interactive, word problem supplement with any math curriculum - not just another worksheet. - Donna
