Math In Focus Accelerated (2020 Ed.)

Description

  Math in Focus 2020 offers the Accelerated option for advanced students to take in lieu of Course 2 in grade seven, to prepare students for Algebra in Grade 8.

  Core components include a Teacher Edition and Student Edition, one for each semester. The colorful Teacher Editions include lesson plans, reduced student pages with answers, and instructions for using manipulatives. Full-color, consumable Student Editions include the core of the student learning including step-by-step instructions, examples, and practice pages. The Assessment Guide Teacher Edition provides review and tests for both semesters, along with their answers. The Homeschool Kit includes the Teacher and Student Editions (Volumes A and B) and the Assessment Guide Teacher Edition.

  There are a few enrichment options for this program. Also available are the Extra Practice and Homework Books (one for each semester) which provides chapter specific concept practice, journaling exercises, and higher order thinking exercises. Answers are not included, but are available in pdf upon request. A Manipulative Kit is available for students needing tactile instruction and practice.

  This course essentially contains all the material from Course 2 and Course 3 except for a few concepts. Chapters include: The real number system, algebraic expression, algebraic equations and inequalities, linear equations and inequalities, lines and linear equations, functions, exponents, proportion and percent of change, angle properties and straight lines, geometric construction, area, volume, and surface area as well as geometric transformation. ~ Gina
