"W!" "88!" "I found a garbage truck!" Nothing beats a car game to help pass the time on a long road trip. If you're looking for something different, check out these Car Tag games. Each game includes four pencils, four booklets (one per player), and sixty winner stickers. There are sixty rounds to the game; the person who wins the most rounds is the winner.
Letters and Numbers is all about being the first to find-you guessed it--letters and numbers. As an example, Round 1's list includes "A," "12," "CH," "Restaurant," and "The year you were born." Players can decide beforehand how many are required to be found to win the round, and nobody can win unless he's found the one listed in bold.
In Scavenger Hunt, each person must find the items on his list--and have someone else verify each find. Here's an example list: "Camper Van," "Green Roof," "Two Car Garage," "Convertible Car," and a railroad crossing sign.
License Plate Poker is slightly more complex. Each player writes down the license plate number from another vehicle passing or being passed. Once everyone's collected four plate numbers, the play begins. Figure out what you have: your highest number, number and letter pairs, 3-of-a-kind, and straight. Whoever winds up with the most highest numbers (closest to 9) and letters (closest to Z) wins.
