21st Century Skills

Practical, real-life lessons are taught through role-play and open-ended conversations. While life lessons happen every day at home and at school, it is nice for an adult to have a guide in this endeavor. These situations are bound to lead to some thoughtful discussions! A lot of it is how to behave in a scenario, and why that is right or wrong. The content is modern and includes social media etiquette when relevant. Questions are based on Bloom's Taxonomy, though the reading level is only at 3rd to 4th grade. The activities include topics like what is appropriate to wear on your first day of work, what should you do when co-workers are gossiping, how to bring up a difficult issue to your boss, plusses and minuses of working on a group project, what is good leadership, debating, approaching a problem, inference, fact vs. opinion, think about why you might give up, what kind of learner are you, resisting change, how to encourage innovation and iteration, learning from failure, and lot's more. I like how each short lesson has a pre-test page and an activity page. Reproducible, teacher guidance/answers in the back (where applicable). 60pp, sc. ~Sara
