Description
My former French teacher self is really impressed with how helpful these books are. If you have a middle/high school student learning a language independently, this book answers many questions that they would normally ask a teacher. It is a tool for the independent language learner without having them seek an answer online. The books are clearly organized. You can work through them parallel to your curriculum, or use them to spot-fix an area of question. While there are a few written exercises, I feel this series is more of a resource. The audio element, in the form of an app, clarifies pronunciation for the student. If you have a high school student doing a foreign language for the first time, this book will get a lot of use! You can use the quizzes to check comprehension, or just read them and do an informal self-assessment. Answers to the written work are in the back, along with a helpful index. Pb, 384pp ~Sara
