If you are familiar with the for topics such as the Presidents, Trees, or the 50 States, this series has a similar approach. FAN-tastic Tips are for younger kids to spend some time reviewing topics in a fun and interactive way (and they are quiet!) They can read them and flip to the next card on a brad (like a grommet or rivet). Each fan has 12 cards, 2-sided, on a brad. They are long and narrow, which kids enjoy. It's just something different! Children who read can do these on their own, but a parent can do them with a non-reader as well. Topics on the Early Math Made Simple include: number sense, subitizing, 3 ways to write numbers, math facts with strategies, mental math, place value, problem solving, even math vocabulary! They are colorful and visually interesting. Keep one in your car or backpack for review where you need it. ~Sara
