Steam For The 21st Century

Description

What do you get when adding ART to a STEM project? STEAM! Sounds great right? But how do you incorporate art into math and science? Crayola has just the thing. Inside this box are supplies and instructions for creating three STEAM design challenges. Do them as a family, a co-op, a classroom in small groups. For Pre-K to grade 2 the three ideas are: Animals Big & Small, Look Around, and Transportation Game. In the kit for Grades 3-5, the three projects include: Parks & Playgrounds, Dream Car, and Weather or Not game. For Grades 6-8 the three projects are: Steps to Success, Backpacks to Bridges, and STEAM in My World Game. Parents are well-guided in how to bring out the child's creativity and problem-solving skills using the process: create, present, respond and connect. Vocabulary words are highlighted too! This would be a lovely summer project, or it could easily be added to your school year. Have a special event day coming up and need something special … without a ton of planning on your part? You just might spark something in your students that becomes a passion or a career. Each kit includes quality Crayola art supplies to complete all three ideas. ~Sara
