Simply Classical Curriculum Levels 5 & 6

Description

Designed for a chronological or skill age of 10 years and up, the Simply Classical Level 5 & 6 Guides are available in a one year accelerated (10-12 years) or two year (10-14 years) standard pacing. A 5 day per week schedule is provided, however a blank lesson template is included if you prefer to modify the weekly schedules to best fit your child. Using the same core and supplemental resources (additional supplementals for Spelling and Grammar are required for the 2 year pace), children focus on mastery of English and Latin grammar, Ancient Greece and Greek Myths, and gratitude. Other subjects covered include additional language arts (spelling, composition), math (multiplication/division, time and money), geography, history, art, music appreciation and science. Guides include introductory notes, reproducible readiness assessment, skills list, teacher notes by subject, sample schedule, supply list and a helpful appendix with recitations. The Guides also include instructions and cards for the optional review box, president's song lyrics, read aloud book list, optional American History book list organized by week, and memory verses. Most lessons are conducted orally, as students with special needs often encounter difficulties with writing despite an ability to learn challenging content. Workbooks are available for a student who needs or wants additional writing practice.
