Description

Using wide 5/8" lines with dotted midlines, these are a nice introduction to handwriting for the beginning writer. Pages are perforated, so tear out a page and work on a flat surface. Each stroke starts at a red dot. Follow the dotted line towards the arrow. Start with dot 1, then dot 2, etc. The next step is tracing over the gray letters and numbers before writing your own. The pages are bright white and 2-sided. Every page of the letters book shows the complete alphabet along the bottom and a sentence across the top includes a cute animal illustration. Letters are a traditional ball-and-stick style. In the numbers book, time is spent on writing numbers 0-20 as well as counting colorful objects. Students might circle the correct answer or write it in. Later, kids have to follow numbers in a maze and complete a simple dot-to-dot. The illustrations are just delightful with a modern flair. The numbers are also rather modern looking. The 1 has the little flag at the top and is not just a straight line down. The 8 is two circles on top of each other. ~Sara
