Description

Written for the tween' crowd, this book is full of information in the areas of puberty and beauty care. Part I is Body Talk' and answers the questions in ten chapters that mini-women' have asked about puberty. Part II, Beauty Matters,' addresses skin care, hair care, foot care, and more.

What makes this book a bit different is the way the information is presented. Girls don't just read; the chapters are divided into sub points with things to do. In every chapter, you will find "Here's the Deal" that presents a lot of information. "That is So Me" offers quizzes to help the reader figure things out and make decisions. "Got God?" tells what the Bible says on the different issues. "You Can Do It" is a crafty thing to make or an activity to reinforce the content. "That's What I'm Talkin' About" is a place where you will write or draw or journal. "Mini-Women Say" are quotes from other tween girls. "Just So You Know" are fun facts for conversational purposes. "Who, Me?" is a quick activity to help the reader see how all the information can help. This is a pretty meaty book, 427 pages, black and white, but easy to read because of the short sections. Nancy Rue, author, has a website (faithgirlz.com) with a lot of additional information for girls and moms. ~ Donna
