Description

Grab your skateboard and head to Pelican Park! As a skater riding the ledges, ramps and rails, players compete to score the most points by doing skateboard tricks, collecting goal tokens and visiting special locations at the skate park.

Skate Summer takes place over several rounds with the following phases:

  1. Play trick cards to your skateboard to earn rewards. Take care to keep your board balanced or you will have to bail out and take some penalties.
  2. Using the trick cards that were successfully balanced on your skateboard, improve your skill levels and advance your scoring marker on the main board.
  3. Use the trick cards and awards earned during this round to navigate the skate park, picking up gear for end game points while working towards goals for special bonuses and additional points.
  4. At the end of each round, check to see if any player has reached or passed the endgame marker. If so, the game ends and final scoring starts. Otherwise, draw up your trick card deck and prepare markers and player boards for the next round.
  5. Add bonuses and goal points to everyone’s scoring marker on the mainboard and the player with the most points wins the game! For 2-5 players with a 45 to 60- minute play time. Although the publisher has recommended this game for ages 14+, the board game community suggests Skate Summer for ages 10+. ~Marsha

Publisher's Description of Skate Summer Game

It's Skate Summer and you're riding the sun-drenched half-pipes of Pelican Park. Locals know there's no ledge too high, no rail too long, and no ramp too dangerous for you and your crew. Nail rad trick combos and show off your skills, but be careful - the longer you stay on your board, the more likely you are to bail!

Leave your mark around town, collecting all the S-K-A-T-E-R upgrades from each corner of the board. Get some big air or roll down a ramp to get there even faster! Do you have what it takes to be the best skater, or will you fade into the sunset?
