Description

Here is our 2022 winner of the 9th annual Rainbow Resource Summer Book Contest. It is a funny story by 17-year-old Emma Schoessow! If her style looks familiar, it is because she is a 2nd time contest winner. Her other story, Clara Bunny, won in 2019. This year, main character Silas is having snack troubles. He needs to raise money and how he goes about it is just hilarious! Follow his thinking as he works out the best way to achieve his goal. The story centers around a town festival. Emma’s characters are animals and her illustrations are just perfect. They are all so expressive! The attention to detail in both her drawing and story telling are what made our panel of judges choose her story among a sea of entries. ~Sara
