Wedgits are a unique and fun building toy. My children have expanded their creativity and developed their motor skills while having fun playing with them. I have five children, and each one plays differently with the Wedgits. Usually, we use the Wedgits as something for the kids to do with their hands while listening to books read aloud. They create "locks" for each other to try and get apart by fitting the pieces together so that they don't come apart easily. The starter set is a lot of fun by itself, but adding more starter sets or the larger sets or special pieces only makes playing with Wedgits a more delightful adventure. We are very careful about spending money on toys, but we feel that the Wedgits are well worth the money.

The perfect building toy for any age! No tiny frustrating parts, and TONS of creative potential. All my children love these and I have been amazed at the complexity of some of their creations. Built to last. Endless possibilities.

What toy is able to teach color and number recognition, visual perception skills, patience, logic, creativity, and more? Wedgits Building Blocks! At first glance, these building blocks appear to be just another set of preschool building blocks that annoyingly litter the floor waiting to be stepped on or lost. However, "kids" of all ages find themselves challenged to recreate the simple to difficult structures pictured on each of 42 Design cards. The back of each card gives the younger crowd practice in number and color recognition as they search for the blocks needed to build the design on the other side. The designs increase in difficulty making this toy a challenge for older children as well, developing their perception skills and logic as they determine how the pieces fit together. The pieces themselves are indestructible and easily fit together with no difficult snapping or screwing. When we took the easy-to-carry Junior Tote to our homeschool co-op, parents and kids of all ages could not resist figuring out the designs as well as creating some super structures of their own. In our home, the tote of blocks works well for my older children to engage a toddler for a few minutes while I work with another child. But we have also found that toddlers of three and four are more than capable of building on their own. Now that my reservations about purchasing another building blocks set have been completely smashed, we are ready for the expansion sets, maybe something with wheels. The cost no longer scares me away either as I've seen how much everyone enjoys this great learning toy. So whether you have a budding architect or little mommy-in-the-making, Wedgits are highly recommended.
