A Lapbook is... a creative means of collecting student work... a file folder with a few new folds. Building on the concept of making books developed by Dinah Zike and illustrated in her books (i.e. Big Book of Books and Activities), a Lapbook becomes an effective and attractive way of displaying these homemade summaries of what a student has learned during a unit study or other concentrated topical study. In addition to showing the various Zike books and how to refold the folders into Lapbooks, the authors give lots of suggestions for other types of creative summary books. ~ Janice

WOW! We are new to lapbooking, in general, but we're having so much fun! The Ultimate Lapbook Handbook is such a great resource. You can make very simple books all the way to very intricate and complicated ones with the instructions provided. The instructions and illustrations are very clear and understandable for myself, and also my three children (ages 7 through 11)I haven't seen any other books like it around, so I'm glad I found this one!!!
