Scrabble is a family favorite at our house, but it's frustrating when you have the perfect word and it just won't fit on the board, or if you struggle with a string of vowels because that's all that was left! Well, not every Scrabble struggle can be fixed, but we love the options this "Super" sized version offers! First of all, you get a bigger board, which is always a plus. Where the original Scrabble board contains only 225 spaces, this one features a whopping 441! In keeping with the board growth, the amount of Premium spaces (spaces which offer double or triple word/letter points) has been more than doubled, from 61 to 125, and twice as many letter tiles are included as well! Letter distribution is slightly different, allowing players to make words which aren't even possible in the original Scrabble! If you can believe it - they've also added quadruple letter/word premium scoring spaces to the double and triples of the original. Are the Scrabble-lovers of the world drooling yet? Some things haven't changed though; Super Scrabble still includes the wooden tiles and tile racks everyone loves, as well as a drawstring tile bag, scoring pad, and rules booklet.
