Category Description for God’s Word in Time Student Planners
I’m a “planner-aholic,” and I’ve probably used a planner since fourth grade, but I got very excited when I saw these wonderful daily planners. These are a great way to help your children stay on-time and on-track with their various assignments while enriching their lives with God’s Word! There are planners geared towards elementary (grades 3-6), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12). Planners are dated by year, and we stock current editions.
Aimed at the youngest students, the full-color NIV Large Primary School Planner is 8.5” x 11”, spiral-bound, 3-hole punched, and is dated from August through June. Each month begins with a monthly calendar view and is enhanced with a Bible quote and definition of a theme from Scripture. Then, each two-page spread shows a weekly view (M-F) with each date providing several lined writing spaces (with a dotted midline). The left hand page shows the days of the week, while the right hand page provides the “extras” - fun activities, a space to write in the number of books read that week, 16 numbered lined spaces to practice spelling words, and space for parent initials or grades. Each right hand page also features a letter of the alphabet, number, or vowel, all tied to a theme from the Bible. Plenty of Scripture references abound throughout the planner, and the back has handy reference material including currency, number place values, books of the Bible, a U.S. and World map, and more.
The full-color Large Elementary School Planner is 8.5” x 11”, is spiral-bound and 3-hole punched, and is dated from August to July. Each month begins with a calendar to keep track of all of your events and has a scripture theme. Then there are weekly Monday through Friday, two-page layout calendars which provide ample space to record your assignments under the subject categories provided (Bible/Religion, Math, Reading/English, Science, Social Studies, and Spelling/Vocabulary). Space is also provided for you to record your prayer requests and memory verses. Games, puzzles, and scripture verses (from the ESV translation) are interspersed throughout the planner for when you need a little break from homework. The back of the planner also includes “helps” such as study hints, instructions on how to write a paper, parts of speech, commonly misspelled words, a world map, a U.S. map, and much more.
TheLarge Middle School Planner differs slightly from the elementary version in that it is offered in both ESV and KJV versions, has different monthly themes, and has different subject categories (Bible/Religion, Math, Social Studies, Science, and English, plus room for assignments in other subjects). Otherwise, the planner is similar, but has a slightly more mature feel.
The Small High School Planner is 5.5” x 8.5”, is spiral-bound (but not 3-hole punched), and does not have games and puzzles. The 2-page Monday through Saturday calendar is more open-ended as subjects are not listed. Even though it is half the size, there is still plenty of space for your child to keep track of everything going on in their life.
