Letter Practice Flip & Draw Book - Traditional
Here is another in the McRuffy series of ‘Flip & Draw’ books. A ‘Flip and Draw Book’ features a flip-out transparent page which is spiral bound on the right side of the back cover. Designs to be created or practice to be done are printed on pages which are spiral bound on the left. This design allows students to see the pages and draw or write on the transparent page with a dry erase marker.
Ruff’s Pre-Writing gives children the opportunity to trace the basic parts of letters, like straight lines, curves, and circles. 30 pages, which can be reproduced or used with the transparent page, allow for plenty of practice. Children will improve hand-eye coordination skills while preparing for the next level of printing.
Modern (D’Nealian) and Traditional Handwriting pages work sequentially forward using the front of each page. You then work back to front using the reverse of each page. Letters progress from A to Z, giving one page of practice for each upper and lower case letter. There is also one page which has the whole alphabet and numbers 1-9 in dotted lines for tracing.
A guide is placed in the upper corner of each page which shows where the letter is to begin. There are also arrows to show the direction the pencil should travel. Cute little blackline drawings of Dot the Dalmatian are found on each page. You’ll find Dot along with an object that begins with each specific letter of the alphabet. ~ Donna
