If you’d rather incorporate health into other subjects, a list in the front of the book shows you which worksheets can be tied into other areas of your curriculum. Each book offers helpful, important information in three units - nutrition, outdoor safety, and healthy habits. A variety of different topics are covered within these areas, such as the food pyramid, how to protect your teeth, sunburn, bicycle safety, harmful plants and insects, exercise, hygiene, and germs. First, students complete the assessment to see how much they know. Then they can begin the worksheets, reading the text and completing the questions/activities. The worksheets vary, so students aren’t always just filling-in-the-blanks or simply answering questions.
