“I am a first year homeschooler and your site was recommended to me so that I could have a better understanding of what was out there. Thank you so much! Everything was informative and your pricing was very competitive. As a mom with a kid with cancer, we need to save money whenever we can. I hope to be doing business here for at least the next 16 years!!” Amanda W.

These reproducible workbooks help students really get involved with learning about the world around them. The first book concentrates on the United States and the second on the world. Each book is divided into three sections. The first focuses on improving map skills and understanding the five themes of geography (location, place, human/environment interaction, movement, and regions). Basic matching, fill in the blank, short answer, and labeling worksheets are provided with maps to improve skills and enhance basic knowledge. Fifteen to twenty worksheets are included in this opening section. In the next section, a variety of fun, hands-on activities are provided to reinforce different geographic concepts. The first book includes about forty-five projects, and the second has about thirty-five. For each project, the book lists the materials needed. These materials are all basic art supplies and items that can be found around the house, like construction paper, markers, glue, scissors, etc. Some of the activities will require encyclopedias, books, or the Internet for research on information to incorporate into the projects. Step-by-step directions are provided for each project. The projects are usually easy to complete and not very time consuming. Examples of projects from the first book include making a user-friendly coordinate map, putting together an explorer’s notebook based on the adventures of a famous American explorer, and building a patriotic pyramid that shares information about an inspiring patriot. Examples from the second book include making an edible map, constructing a paper plate fact quiz about countries, and decorating a cereal box with information about a chosen country. The third section of each book is full of charts, graphs, and diagrams that students will encounter on standardized testing. Reading and using charts is explained, and several multiple choice sections are included so students learn how to read charts and gather information from them. In the back of each book is a section for teachers, which includes a variety of rubrics, graphic organizers, National Geography Standards, and an answer key. This is a great supplement for any geography or history course. Each book is 128 pages, black and white reproducible, and softcover. Rachel
