Geographic Terms Banner
This product makes it fun for students to learn 35 vocabulary words dealing with geography. It’s basically a ready-to-go bulletin board - just detach a few sections, punch out some smaller pictures and the word cards, and attach them to a wall. Three large pictures of different landscapes can be attached together to create one large scene, or you can use the individual scenes independently. Just add the word card labels to identify all the landforms and your beautiful, colorful geography reference is ready to go. The landscape scenes put together measure about 64” long and 12” high, with some items needing to go outside of that space (like an atoll and a lagoon). A banner measuring 42” long and 8” tall says “Geographic Terms” and can be placed above the landscape scene. Thirty-five word cards measure a few inches long and 1.5” tall and can be attached wherever you would like. These word cards label items in the scene like glacier, plateau, butte, bay, tributary, cape, and more. This will help make sure students not only know the difference between a mountain and a valley, but an isthmus and a peninsula as well. All parts are made from cardstock and are fairly durable. An instruction sheet is included with the set, which gives several activity ideas for the banner and a worksheet for students practice identifying different landforms. ~ Rachel
