GeoSafari Laptop Want a fun way to learn Geography, Grammar, History, Science, or even Astronomy? This enticing laptop will allow you to match everything from animal names to world maps. I received this fun present for my twelfth birthday and I'm still enjoying it more than a year later. It looks like a laptop computer-just what children love-but even easier to use. Opening it up, you can choose from 63 large, heavy-duty cards held in a plastic pocket to begin your learning session. Each card has an activity on both sides, making 126 activities. Just type the card number on the colorful keypad. After setting the other unique options you can begin play, following the prompts from blinking lights. Type your answer as a number on the keypad, and the music and screen will tell you immediately whether you are right. After three incorrect guesses, you are given the correct answer. At the end of the game, you even get time to enter correct answers for every one you missed. The colorful lights and cheerful tunes make it no ordinary experience. I really appreciate the large variety of subjects on the cards—famous buildings, explorers, punctuation, animals, all kinds of physical and political maps, wars, weather, flags of the World, American inventions…you name it! It’s great either to review a current subject I’m having trouble with, or just to practice any time. My mom had me do the world history cards to prepare me for a subject I didn't especially like. That made it fun! This game is so versatile I even made my own cards to use with it. I just copied the format of a map of Europe card and made one to practice Asian capitals. This can be done for any specific info not included in the 2000+ questions. I also like the flexibility of one or two players, time to guess the question, and reviewing missed answers. I got many hours of entertainment out of this engaging game while the flu kept me in bed, even when I didn’t feel like reading. My older brother and sister didn't even mind playing with me! It’s such a great way to memorize information, so different from a book. I highly recommend the GeoSafari Laptop, which gives a new definition of a matching game!
