Daily Grams Grade 3
What’s the difference between Easy Grammar and Daily Grams? Covering grammatical concepts with engaging simplicity, these two programs are companions and complementary but serve different purposes. While Easy Grammar provides a systematic presentation of concepts, Daily Grams provides - you guessed it - daily practice. They are each stand-alone programs, and Daily Grams can easily be used with other grammar programs or independently. Using them at the same time would be a bit of overkill; as you would be adding further practice to an already very complete course. However, in periods where the student is doing quite a bit of writing or if you want to follow a year of intensive grammar with a lighter year, Daily Grams are a good way to keep grammar skills sharp without bogging students down with too much English.
Each book contains 180 reviews covering capitalization, punctuation, parts of speech (general review) and sentence combining. [May I just mention that daily sentence combining practice is one of the most compelling reasons to use this program. This practice develops strong compound and complex sentence construction skills, which is one of the most necessary components for effective and elegant written communication.] Each Daily Grams review page only takes about 10 minutes a day, but what a valuable ten minutes – keeping grammar skills sharp and developing sentence writing competence. The books are reproducible and contain student pages and answers (in the back) while the student workbooks contain only the student pages (no answers) and are not reproducible. If you are planning on using a level with more than one student, the workbooks offer you a time-saving option at a reasonable cost.

This is an awesome book! We love this program, it is so easy and very effective. It is a daily review of capitalization, punctuation, parts of speech and sentence combining. My children ages 7 and 9 breeze through these worksheets before starting our Easy Grammar program. The two, (Daily Grams and Easy Grammar) complement each other wonderfully! Last year, we used a program that was too much. The lessons took a long time to complete and some of the material was too advanced for them, even though it was their grade level. After last year, I was afraid they would be turned off by grammar. It is a great joy to see them enjoying this program! With Daily Grams it takes appox. 5-10 mins a day. We will absolutely continue with this program in the coming years!

We have truly enjoyed Daily Grams. It was short, straight to the point and an enriching program. Having one with a short attention span I felt like she got more than she needed in the time frame that we could get her to sit and focus on it and have used it with all of our kids. It's reasonably priced and easy to use. Highly recommend it.

Love this workbook! We're pretty laid-back about grammar around here and usually don't focus on it as a separate school subject. I didn't want to get bogged down in extensive grammar lessons that are long & boring. Daily Grams are perfect for us. The lessons are short & direct. My son enjoys the lessons and I have reassurance that we're covering the basics. Also note: the pages in the workbook (no answers) are perforated, which we love. The pages in the book WITH answers do not tear out and it may be cumbersome for your student to use. (A friend of mine is using that book and said her son regularly complains that it's difficult to write down his answers.)
