The goal of the creators of this program is to develop their own series of studies for parent’s to use in their co-ops. This is the first of their books, based on books by Patricia Polacco. It is a ten-week unit study that incorporates research skills, Bible/character, language arts, fine arts, history, geography, science, art/craft ideas, recipes for related refreshments, and more. Each book is introduced and lesson plans and ideas are given for each subject. Also included is a list of suggested report topics, additional readings, digging deeper questions, and a short list of special activities to extend each study. Ten books are studied in this course (one for each week) and the topics covered through them include WWII, the Civil War, meteors, thunderstorms, and more.
