As a new homeschooling parent this was one of the first books I picked up It made choosing my curriculum and making sure my children and I were starting on the right foot sooooo easy! I love the fact that it helps you to determine your childs learning style and then organizes the curriculum chart so it is easy to tell what will most likely work well based on your childs learning style!

very useful book
whenever I hear about a new option for homeschooling, I look it up in this book, knowing I will get an honest review (not one written by the company promoting their items). I also let other homeschool mom's borrow this from me (with my name marked all over it, so they don't forget to return it).

Well put together.
I use Cathy Duffy's website a lot but it's so helpful to have everything in book format. Cathy has a very systematic approach to choosing a program and lines everything up so beautifully that it helps TREMENDOUSLY in choosing a program that is a good fit.

I borrowed the original version of this book from the library several years ago, when we first started homeschooling, and am ready to go through it again (with up to date resources) now that it has been a few years since I've reflected on what our needs are in terms of learning styles and so on.

I am overwhelmed with all the options out there. Though I a grateful for all the options I need a practical and sensible way to choose what to spend God's money on.

I have a child with ADD going into 5th grade. The public school is going to a 4 day school week. I feel that my son will benefit from homeschoolling so I am purchasing this book to help me decide what curriculum would be best for him.

Looking for best curriculum and this is most highly recommended as an overview of products and to find best fit. Also, the Bargain Books put it in my budget so now I could afford it!
