Websites exist for practically every topic imaginable these days, so it’s not surprising that many parents are concerned about what their children have access to on the web. Although final approval of a website is ultimately a parent’s prerogative, this author has taken the liberty of hand-selecting over a thousand websites she feels are appropriate for kids from preschool to high school. Each website in this book was positively evaluated for “content, design, and overall kid appeal.” Recommended websites include a mix of educational and fun sites. Organized alphabetically for easy reference, there is an extensive selection of subjects, including but not limited to: animals, arts and crafts, countries and continents, homework helpers, space, and sports. Each Internet address is followed by a short summary and review.
