Self-described as “chunky” flashcards, these thick (like the page of a board book) flashcards should withstand plenty of use. There are 30 flashcards in the set, representing the numbers 0-20, 30, 40, 50, and 100 as well as flashcards showing the plus sign, minus sign, equals sign, numbers 1-10 to trace and an instruction card. The cards have a semi-glossy finish and are a variety of pastel colors. Each one has a numeral along with a matching number of items (varying from 1 car to 18 stars to 100 fish) on one side with the corresponding number word on the other side. The items are pleasant pictures, generally with a clay-like appearance. The instruction card offers a few different activity ideas which build counting, sequencing, more/less, matching, sorting, and basic addition and subtraction skills.
