Have you ever tried to hold a curious baby in your arms while working or playing on your computer? It's nearly impossible because their cute little hands love pressing the keys! Well, now you can let them type away without worry. This software is perfect for 6-month to 2-year-olds because, once you launch it, it locks out the rest of the computer! It doesn't matter which keys they pound on, it won't affect the computer or any other programs. On top of this handy feature, the software itself is pretty neat. Basically, babies can press any key and there will be some kind of visual or audio reaction from the computer. In most cases, there's no correlation between which keys are pressed and what happens on the screen; pushing any key will result in the same reaction from the program (see individual descriptions for exceptions to this). Some of the activities in each program often have something fun or unique happen if the mouse buttons are pushed too. Different titles in this series obviously have different themes, but they all have colorful backgrounds on the screen with colorful graphics popping up and moving around and fun sound effects and music in the background. Each title has 14 different baby-friendly activities with over 50 songs. Pushing keys causes fun things to happen like making ducks quack and flap their wings, getting groundhogs to pop from their holes, and causing shapes to move around the screen. Kids love that they have the power to push keys to make fun things happen! This software is award-winning for a reason! Babies will have a blast as they're introduced to computers and early learning topics, and you finally don't have to worry about letting them pound on the keyboard as much as they'd like. Even I (baby-free) enjoyed testing out this fun software. Runs on both Windows and Macinosh. System Requirements: Windows XP, 2000, ME, 98, 95, minimum 300mhz, 32 MB RAM, 4x CD-ROM drive; Macintosh OS X (10.1 or higher), 300mhz, 64 MB RAM, 4x CD-ROM drive. A mouse and internet access are recommended but not required. ~Rachel
