Parts of a Whole Playing Cards
Here’s a great math learning tool for your visual learner. This deck of cards is composed of 27 sets of four cards. The four cards in each set are the fraction, decimal, percentage and a graphic of equal value. Each set is done in a different color scheme. One set would be 75%, ¾, 0.75 and a circle graph with only ¾ of it colored. The color scheme for this set is red with white polka dots. Using the same color scheme reinforces the idea that all cards in that set represent the same amount. Amounts represented in this deck are: 1/100, 1/50, 1/25, 1/20, 1/10, 3/10, 7/10, 9/10, 1/9, 2/9, 1/8, 3/8, 5/8, 7/8, 1/6, 5/6, 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, ¼, ¾, 1/3, 2/3, ½, 0 and 1. Instructions and ideas are included for 7 different games you can play with this deck, either individually or as a group. You can visit their website for more game ideas. ~ Donna
