Description

It's a terribly bitter winter storm and Allan Marley is in his cabin home all by himself, due to the fact that his father has recently been imprisoned for “attempted murder." He remembered he had seen a mallard drake stuck on the lake earlier, and went out in the storm to try to save it. After a few attempts of trying to rescue it from the cold water, he realized his efforts alone were futile. Just when he was wishing he had a retrieving dog, a huge hunting dog emerged from some nearby shrubs. The courageous dog saved the Mallard, but the dog was now the one in need of rescue due to fatigue and injuries. Allan was able to carefully get the dog and the duck back to shore, and brought the seemingly homeless dog into his cabin.

After tending to the dog's wounds and feeding the poor starving hound, Allen decided to name his new companion Stormy. Allen discovered that the dog was in fact an outlaw of one of his dad's enemies named Bob Tilloston. After a series of events, Allen finds himself in hiding after he is wrongfully accused of being responsible for Tilloston's death. Read this captivating book to learn if Stormy ended up not only saving the life of Allen in another bitter storm, but also helped rescue his enemies. 150 pgs, pb.
