Description

It's a free-for-all out there! Players are all racing at the same time to claim stacks and end up with the most money (in the original game), or food (in the junior game). Each game begins with players holding 7 cards from the deck. If they have sets of 100 (or 10 in the junior version), they lay them in a stack on the table in front of them. Then players all try to claim stacks by pairing a card from their hand to the top card in a stack to make 100 (or 10) and swipe the pile. Thief cards can claim any pile, but a thief can steal from another thief! Jail or trap cards trump take a stack for good and the pile cannot be reclaimed by another player. Each round ends when players cannot make any more plays and their hands are replenished until the deck is gone. 3-6 players in the original game, and 2-4 players in the junior version. ~ Megan

Category Description for Clumsy Thief Game

Teach younger kids to add up to ten in this fast-paced swiping game! Colorful cards have various foods such as peaches, pears, cabbages, etc. Start with 7 cards. The goal is to pair cards that make 10 with the same foods (e.g. 3 peaches with 7 peaches). Once each player makes their pairs, the dealer says "GO!" and with the remaining cards in your hand, hurry to make 10s with the top card on a stack. Stacks can be collected if you can make 10 with your card and the top card. Try and steal each other's stacks! For 2-4 players, ages 5+. Clumsy Thief Original has a similar premise, but with money cards. For 2-6 players, ages 8+.
