Spelling is a tricky subject in the elementary years, especially for an advanced reader. We liked the correlation between root words and their definitions, the fun ways to use the spelling words as you learn them, and the level of complexity of the harder words mixed with easier ones. My daughter is excited to use this book!

These are great not only for vocab, but for test prep, because they have several styles of ELA questions (reading comp, analogies, prefix/suffix, synonyms/antonyms, etc)

I LOVE Wordly Wise! This is an excellent vocabulary program that ends up teaching spelling as well. The words are more challenging than traditional programs for the age group but kids don't notice due to the way it is presented and laid out. EXCELLENT program.

Is this book4 for 4th grader?
A shopper on Jul 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The curriculum says that book 4 would be for a 4th grader.
I give all my students a book that is one below their current grade because I think the material is a bit difficult.
I would give a 4th grader book 3, but that is just my opinion.
I want them to be able to do the work without me sitting right with them (!).
