Publisher's Description of Child-Sized Masterpieces Level 6 & 7 - Modern Schools of Art

Part of the Child-Size Masterpieces program, this book of 35 postcard-size reproductions of paintings will introduce children to five modern schools of art (7 images from each school).

This set is appropriate for children who can read and have already completed Steps 1 – 5 of the Child-Size Masterpieces program.

Learning about the Schools of Art (Step 6) introduces children to the schools of art and discusses details of the paintings. Grouping Paintings from the Same School of Art (Step 7) presents activities for sorting and grouping paintings into the various schools.

Selections have been chosen to appeal to Elementary age children. Each reproduction is labeled with the artist name on the front and have a short biographical introduction of the artist and a description of the painting on the reverse.

Printed on heavy varnished cardstock. To make cards, cut out the 4¾" x 6½" images and laminate, if desired.
