Description

This resource has been written for students that need an extra review of spelling skills. There are 180 one-page lessons, which are written directly to the student. The first 90 lessons consist of homophones and phonics instruction. For example, a lesson includes two homophones with definitions for each and four fill-in-the-blank sentences using the correct homophone. The phonics instruction is a short lesson based on one sound with several words listed as examples. The student is then asked to write a sentence or two using as many phonics words listed as possible. At the end of the lesson, there are six words dictated by the teacher for the student to spell. The last 90 lessons are short lessons on contractions, capitalization, common misspellings, plurals, abbreviations, silent and double letters, prefixes and suffixes. An easy-to-use book for the student and teacher which is effective for those that need a little more review. Reproducible. ~ Gina
