Fun supplement for all levels
I bought these cards for my high schooler who set them on the shelf, but my 9yo picked them up on her own. Since then, all of my children have really taken to them. They have made up a game that they play in the car. They flip through the cards we are working with for the week, they each make an original sentence and pass the deck to their sibling who they deem had the best sentence. That kid then picks a new word and becomes the judge. It has all five kids working together. Although it is being used differently than I anticipated, it is working better than I imagined. As a bonus, I have learned a few new words myself.

This was recommended by another homeschooling mom. It seems like a fun way to expand everyone's vocabulary... including mine :)

Fun game to start improving all our vocabulary

A fun way to learn more vocab. We have just been learning one word per week together (my kids are 9th, 6th and 3rd grade). There are other fun games and things to do that I need to investigate. The pictures make it easy to learn and remember the meaning. My 9th grader just told me that he sees/hears the word, "abate" everywhere now! And, he didn't know the meaning prior to Marie's Words. "Abate" was the first word we did. It comes with a ring, and I keep the ones we have learned on it.
