Mad Libs is a fun way to get your kids excited about the parts of speech Sometimes we laugh really hard at the crazy stories that we create Yes my children learned what I thought they should They have to know the parts of speech and constantly think of more creative words to give Most importantly they learned to laugh It is very easy to use You just call out the prompts for example it will say noun adjective verb Sometimes it will even say a number word color word part of the body person's name in the room They give an answer and you write it in the blank When you're done read it and you will see what I mean It really is funny! No teacher preparation necessary and very easy to use with multiple ages It does not compare with anything that I know of and it is a great value Laughter and learning that goes hand in hand It's really great!

I like to do a Mad Lib at the end of my writing classes and at the end of a day when I substitute teach if the kids have been on task. They enjoy them!

To show middle school age children the importance of grammar. Or to show those who know grammar, how to have fun with it.
