For the best results, we suggest the principle of less = more. Don’t get too specific initially as it may end up severely limiting your potential results.
For instance, if you’re looking for books written by Mark Twain, it’s often best to first try just the last name (Twain in this case) rather than the full name.
The same is suggested for titles (through Keywords) since we have often used abbreviations for words in the title to save space. Typing in the full title would then return no results, while one or two words from the title might return more than you were looking for, but would better your chances of finding the product you seek.
Avoid surrounding your phrases with double quotes (") as this is sometimes mis-interpreted by our parsing routines. Rather, type in the phrase and choose Phrase from the drop down list above the search entry.
